Individual Therapy
Therapy for individuals begins with an assessment session so that the therapist can be certain that CBT an appropriate treatment. At this point the therapist will explain how CBT can be used to help with the problem and the client is able to decide if they would like to continue with therapy. The number of additional sessions required usually varies between 5 and 12, though the exact number will also be reviewed as therapy progresses.
Costs,and other conditions of therapy, will be explained and agreed prior to the commencement of therapy.
Supervision
Chrisitine Richardson is a qualified and experienced supervisor and at present provides supervision to other practitioners who work in various settings including primary care, young peoples services, alcohol and drugs services and private practice.
As an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Christine can help you gain skills in the use of CBT interventions, As well as understanding how CBT can be used to help with anxiety, depression, phobias, OCD and PTSD, she can help you understand how to work with complex clients, particularly those experiencing eating disorders or substance misuse problems.
Training
Christine is familiar with providing training with agencies which provide counselling services to the general public. She also runs private training which focuses on helping existing practitioners gain skills in which allow them to incorporate CBT interventions into their work. This training can be provided for small groups of practitioners, or even on an individual basis. It may even be incorporated into supervision sessions. Fees for this training are fixed appropriately but are generally below the level of many other such training courses. Her long standing experience as both a trainer and teacher means that the quality of such training of a very high standard.
